Dimitrios Katsantonis is a writer and producer working at the intersection of visual media and emerging content creation technologies to advance world-building and mythological architectures. His work includes LED volume production, Nvidia Omniverse integration, and generative AI pipelines for previs, VFX, and narrative development.
Before entering the film industry, he worked in global investment finance. He is a member of the Bar of England and Wales (Middle Temple) and the New York State Bar. His finance background includes a 2009 USAID-related civilian infrastructure reconstruction assignment in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is licensed in derivatives trading (Eurex) and certified in Fund Management and Islamic Finance (CISI, ESA, Banque du Liban).
In 2004, he co-founded Sanctorum Pictures in Santa Monica, a microfinancing company supporting microbudget films (less than $100,000) designed for early web-based distribution. The company was the largest sponsor of the revived Beverly Hills Film Festival that year. Ahead of its time in its aspirations and business model, it concluded operations in 2005.
He graduated cum laude from Met Film School at Ealing Studios in 2009, training in directing, editing, producing, and acting. His short action film Lipizzaner (2009), which he wrote, produced, and directed, received multiple accolades.
In 2015, he co-founded Terra Magma Pictures in Burbank. He left the company in 2017 to write and produce the award-winning independent feature Echoes of the Past (2021).
He has multiple projects in development, including publishing his novels Chiaroscuro and Arcania Lost: The Forbidden Chronicles of Alchemy and War, the tech horror, neo noir anthology Dark Codex, and the novellas The Moonlighter of Yesteryears, Arpege, and The Extinction Protocols.
He is the founder of The Gothic Factory, a specialty horror label focused on building a singular interconnected horror IP ecosystem: multi-platform, multi-format, and myth-driven.
