Mike Wolf Snyder was born on March 9, 1985 in New York, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for Nomadland (2020), Rockaway (2012) and Empathy, Inc. (2018). He died in February 2021 in Queens, New York City, New York, USA.

As a tribute to Snyder, while accepting the Academy Award for Best Picture for Nomadland, Frances McDormand said that the award was for their wolf, before doing a wolf howl.
