- Johnny Wernersson is a movie maker who started out as a short film producer in the middle of the nineties. He has made over 30 short films that were shown on television, cinema, festivals and distributed via DVD and streaming.
Occasionally he stars as an actor but he is mainly a director, producer, writer, photographer and editor.
He produced, co-wrote and co-directed his first feature Jango on Tour at age 26 together with his business partner and fiance, director and artist, Malin Dahl. The movie was released in selected theaters and then released on DVD in all major movie stores at the time in Scandinavia. It is still streaming on platforms all over the world such as Amazon Prime, Hulu etc.
He co-wrote the feature Lantisar with Malin Dahl (who also directed it) in 2018 and it was released in 60 Swedish cinemas 2019 and later 2020-2025 it screened yearly at SVT (Swedish National Television) and had a big following. It also streamed very well in Scandinavia on different platforms and is also streaming worldwide on several movie platforms
Johnny Wernersson and Malin Dahl runs the company Backa Studios AB in Sweden and make feature films, shorts and documentaries but also branded content for different platforms.
Their shorts, documentaries and features has been seen by millions of people around the world.

- Made his first feature film "Jango on tour" at age 27 on a 35 000 SEK budget which was released all over Scandinavia.
