- Angélique Ferrão was born in Bangalore, India.
At fifteen she moved to New York City and started modeling in runway shows including New York Fashion week. She received her BA at Hunter College where she triple majored in Psychology, Studio Art and the interdisciplinary Thomas Hunter Honors major (with a minor in English literature). She attended Columbia University's Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Med Program but dropped out to pursue a career in the arts.
She is of Portuguese Indian and Syrian Christian Indian descent.
