- Kristy LaPointe was born on September 6, 1989 in South Africa. She is a writer, known for Home Sweet Rome! (2023), How to Buy a Baby (2017) and The Beaverton (2016).
- Kristy studied under Cindy Vanden Enden and Tanya Ryga at Playhouse North School of Theatre, graduating from the two year conservatory in 2009 before training at the Professional Actors Lab & Second City Toronto. Her work as a TV writer is informed by this Meisner technique training and background in the theatre.
