- Much like politics I am neither Democrat nor Republican, for a Democracy functions by the infrastructure of a Republic. The only sway is by the Individuals self interest, yet I feel religion is unnecessary. It all pends where you fall on the map, and the only relative matter to discuss is art, music, and literature which melds one another rather then subdivide.
- I think film & television is the last true religion for mankind. There is a television set in every home, and we spend most of our time watching it. If Steven Spielberg can make a film like E.T. which is basically the story of Christ rewritten removing religion. So that we all can watch, regardless of faith, and feel such a powerful emotion negating the divide of religious DOGMA. That's what movie making is, and that's what we all need.
- I dislike debating religion, for to me it's simple; I'm an American. The Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes over 221 different religions and belief systems when you enlist to serve under wearing that beautiful flag on your shoulder. And every different religions interpretation of the word GOD Transcends into thousands across the globe. I find that the word GOD isn't offensive, it's those whom infringe their interpretation of it as absolute to be the concern.
- I was a book worm when I was a kid. I stuttered, and had a rough time reading with my dyslexia. I was made fun of, and picked on constantly. If it hadn't been for my grandfather enrolling me in martial arts, and my grandmother teaching me how to read; I have no idea what would have happened to me with out them. There isn't a day that doesn't go by where I don't think of them, and thank the stars I was their grandson!
- No matter how hard my life gets, I always think of my grandfather and uncle. If my grandfather survived Omaha Beach, and my uncle was shot down twice in Vietnam with them both becoming the loving men they were, after all of it. I can't find an excuse to complain when I want to have one. I'll never be a fraction of the men they were, and I always remind myself of that.
- I've never liked my appearance. I have a facial structure that rivals the Big Mac moon man, and The Tick. I didn't have brasses till my late thirties, and had three extra teeth removed. Everyone has insecurities, and I think if you negate societies opinion with what you see in the mirror every morning. Self acknowledging that your reflection will only exist once, gives you a lot of strength; and that flaws are what make things special.
- I'm a very sensitive person, and keep to myself often. The slightest insult, or lie pushes me into isolation from others. I've never liked being in competition with anyone, and prefer solitude. I've never chased being in control, yet I've experienced many wanting to be in control over me. Insecurity is so loud, and I find those whom seek being in charge should never have it. Being around more experienced individuals is what I've always sought, and asking how with respect of experience; has opened more doors than any diploma could have ever given me.
- Money & material things have never impressed me. I never read an itemized list published of what someone owned that was a motivational best seller. Because, in the end, we are all gonna end up on a shelf eventually. I was in elementary school just the other day, and in a few weeks from now, I'll end up being just another item that needs to be processed. It's really simple when you think of it that way. Death is beautiful really, because with out em; you don't learn to appreciate before him.
- Martial arts teaches you discipline & self confidence. However real fighting, teaches you why weight categories exist, and how to snap fingers.
- You know you're in real trouble when a woman that speaks twelve different languages asks you to dance with her, and go horse back riding. All while complaining she's tired of dating millionaires who are losers. A man can make a lot of powerful enemies that way. All because a woman asked to dance with him.
- Is everyone having fun?
- Heads are gonna role, and it's gonna be biblical!
- I'm always cautious when an individual volunteers negative comments about someone I've never met. For one it gives me the intent they are afraid of whom they speak, and are trying to prevent a threat. Second I can make up my own damn mind when I get to know a person on my own accord. If I wanted TMZ I'd reach past the toilet paper.
- Safety requirements for stunt coordinators in SAG have always surprised me. You would think with cars flipping, explosions, and guns firing. A standard would be in place. Even to have your CPR Certification in case something happens. The union doesn't even have that! It would be a real fix for the union to have a stunt section on IMDB that shows three mandated sections approved. You know this way anyone can see if the person is qualified. It would definitely eliminate actors who pretend to be stuntman from being on set, and protect the union from getting sued to oblivion! I mean look at Rust.
- That's the thing about love, it never stops once it starts. I'll always love both of my ex wives, for I meant the vows I took. They were the ones that left me, and I want nothing more than for them both, to succeed in life. When you love someone it never goes away; you just learn to do it from a distance, and appreciate what you had.
- No government in the world has the right to persecute an individual based upon race, creed, or sexual orientation. The day a United States court system allows for this to happen. We the people will be no better than those responsible for the atrocities that took place in Nazi germany, and those responsible for committing such acts. should be held accountable for hate crimes and sentenced to the fullest extent of the law.
- Stunts in SAG is operated like the mob. It has no over site from the union, and when you have guys hiring friends for a few days work to make eighty thousand dollar residual checks. It's easy to see where the problem is. It's no wonder talented individuals get black listed, for when you have stunt communities making bank hiring each other; It's basically organized crime in my opinion.
- It's tough watching films like John Wick for me. When a film has no representation of differentiation between concealment and cover, and no practicality of down range collateral damage especially in club scenes like that. Those rounds would have ripped through two or three people upon exit. Plus it's obvious the horse work was mostly green screen. Anyone who was trained would have been pumping rounds through a wall to take out targets two rooms over. I didn't see any of that once, it's a real shame.
- Now after a billionaire who owns a Southern California real estate company picks on a working class stunt man, yet the US Army decides to investigate him for espionage for no reason. After which his unit makes the decision to fly him to Southern California from Arkansas to do training. Where he gets harassment via phone the moment he lands ? That doesn't sound weird to me at all! I'm sure no one was paid off to do that ?
- When a billionaire who owns a real estate company takes you out on his yacht for no reason, and brags about how important he is to a 9 to 5 blue collar worker; it's pathetic if you ask me. Then suddenly your life goes to shit, yet you had no problems prior to meeting the loser. Geee I wonder what happened? I'm sure it had nothing to do with the insecure billionaire!
- I remember the first time I was asked to have a stunt acting role in a film, by the director. After that I had so many stunt guys on set, causing issues for me. That's when I knew problems were coming. When you give wannabe actors stunt coordinator jobs it cause issues. I've had over 6 films where the production wanted me to be a stunt actor, and the stunt coordinators caused problems before I even met them on set! It's not worth the headache for me, I just said go fuck yourself and turned it down. I can care less.
- One of my favorite memories was having the opportunity to work with Gene LeBell. Listening to him casually confirm in the classiest way, with out admitting he choked out Steven Segal, and training Bruce Lee in grappling was a moment I'll never forget.
- It's a joke when people don't recognize tom cruise as one of the baddest stuntman to exist. That man makes most stuntman look like toddlers with the things he's done !
- If there are two Hollywood superstars I've worked with, and had the honor of fighting it was Mark Dacascos & Jason Statham. If you want to talk about class? They are it! Statham sat in a lawn chair on set helping people, while the Texas stunt guys walked around thinking they were hot shit! And Mark just kept brain storming how to make the fight better, while asking if I could help read the script with him. Those men are super stars in my opinion!
- I have a feeling my boss is pissed, I think the Federal Bureau of Investigations is in deep doo doo!! I sure wouldn't want to make Big T Upset.
- Roses are red, and violets are blue. Federal agents are going to prison, and a Military Colonel or two.
- I've never taken a single acting class a day in my life. I'm not an actor, and I have no interest in ever becoming one. I'm a stuntman period, and yes I've had stunt acting parts, however I only got those working through the stunt department.
- I don't watch FOX news or CNN for information. Hamilton used the same crap against Burr in 1801 with his own news column, and look how that turned out. Maybe dueling should be brought back, to clear up media space. I'd prefer watching Rick & Morty with reruns of Tales from the Crypt, then watch talking suits who are full of crap.
