Iain Gardner is a composer based in Toronto, Canada with nearly 15 years of experience crafting original and colourful music for film, TV, advertising, web series, and stage productions.
His work can be heard in the Mondo/VRV animated series Big Foot (2019), created by bestselling author Graham Roumieu; on Roku's animated adult comedy series Doomlands (2022); and the second season of the Amazon Prime animated series Gary and His Demons (2023), created by Canadian comic Mark Little. Iain also contributed both original and cover songs, as well as original score, to the Peacock Kids/Family Channel series Take Note (2022). His scores to indie dramas including White Lock (2015) and Still Closed (2016) have been awarded at international festivals.
Outside of his own scoring work, Iain works alongside award-winning Canadian composer Lesley Barber and has assisted on projects such as Manchester by the Sea (2016), Beaches (2017), and provided additional music on the Michael Jacobs romantic-comedy feature Maybe I Do (2023) streaming on Netflix. Other recent scoring highlights include a new in-flight safety video for Air Canada in collaboration with Disney, and the intro music for Cineplex's AVX movie theaters which can be heard across Canada.
Iain has also been very active in writing music for advertising, and has been with the team at Eggplant Music+Sound as an in-house composer since 2016. His work has been featured on spots for many high-profile brands including Porsche, Bell, Mitsubishi, BMW, Ford, President's Choice, Visa, Tim Horton's, and Subaru.
