Razane Jammal is a critically acclaimed British Lebanese actress fluent in English, French, and Arabic. She has had enormous success in Hollywood, Europe, and the Arab World, playing a variety of roles throughout her career and acting in many dialects.
Initially starting out in the West, Jammal first appeared in an episode of Olivier Assayas’ miniseries CARLOS (2010) before starring in Kanye West’s short CRUEL SUMMER and Robert Guediguian’s UNE HISTOIRE DE FOU (2015), all three of which were featured at the Cannes Film Festival.
She has also appeared in A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES (2014) alongside actor Liam Neeson; in the American series BERLIN STATION (2016); in Channel 4's mini-series CHIMERICA (2019) with actor Alessandro Nivola; and in BAD BUZZ (2016) by the popular French comedy duo Eric and Quentin.
Meanwhile, in the Arab World, Jammal is known for her roles in Maryam Abu Of’s comedy series EMBRATOREYET MEEN (2014), the period show SARAYA ABDEEN (2014), Egypt’s first-ever Netflix drama PARANORMAL (2020), Marwan Hamed’s record-breaking Egyptian blockbuster KIRA & EL GIN (2022, one of Egypt’s highest grossing films), as well as the hit Lebanese drama AL THAMAN (2023). She also had a guest appearance in the Ramadan 2023 star-studded series TAGHYER GAW.
Additionally, the British Lebanese sweetheart was cast in BLACK LION, co-starring alongside several Egyptian superstars in the highly anticipated historical epic helmed by Mohamed Diab.
Rather notably, she became the first ever Arab actress to be featured in the DC/Vertigo Universe, playing the illusive Amazonian Lyta Hall in two seasons of the acclaimed Netflix adaption of Neil Gaiman’s THE SANDMAN, thereby cementing herself as a globally recognized star, shining as far as Hollywood.
She has also since starred in Netflix’s PARANORMAL, the platform’s first Egyptian original series, AL THAMAN, the first Arabic show to be translated to Spanish and Portuguese, gaining an international following, and the hit Turkish TV series AL QADAR.
Aside from her acting career, Razane has also found similar success in the fashion world, with Dior naming her its Beauty and Fashion Ambassador in the Middle East. The actress also walked the runway of the Panthère de Cartier Show alongside Cartier brand ambassadors and prominent actors Tara Emad and Dhafer L'Abidine. Moreover, she graced the covers of several fashion magazines, including Vogue, Marie Claire, and Elle.
Razane is also a representative of the Children's Cancer Center in Lebanon, which encompasses her ongoing dedication to support and raise awareness for children battling cancer.
In 2025, she published her first children’s book titled LULU AND BLU.
