Biography

Jon Nix was born in Lakeland, Florida. At age 14, his family moved to North Eastern Ohio. In 2010, he co-founded TurnStyle Films, which has been voted Best Production Company in Cleveland for two years running. He recently completed work on his first full-length documentary and will begin work on his next film in the fall of 2016.

Jon Nix is an award-winning Director & Editor of two feature documentaries. They're the co-founder of TurnStyle Films. Don't Fall in Love with Yourself is a documentary on enigmatic artist Justin Pearson and the San Diego Noise Punk scene. Their first feature was Beyond Barricades: The Story of Anti Flag.

Their 2015 short documentary Draw Hard, about Cleveland comic artist John G was the winner of multiple awards.

They are the co-founder of With a X, a Midwest underground publishing company, where they have published three books. Shy No More is a collection of photography. Followed up by two short fiction collections: Ferals and The Right Side of Bad.
