Joey was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University (2012) majoring in Cinema-Television with a minor in Communication. He has lived in Orlando, Florida, where he obtained a graduate-study degree in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University (2013). Joey is a cinematic visionary that lives by the motto "Everyone has a story". He simply believes all individuals are life's characters and every character in God's story has a narrative that can be told. He adores the art of cinema, and truly believes that everyone's story can be displayed through the brilliance of filmmaking. He is also an abolitionist of human trafficking that seeks awareness of social issues and global concerns all over the world, which further led his passion of cinematic storytelling.
His additional life passions include photography, spoken word and especially redemptive storytelling through motion pictures. Furthermore, He views himself as a storytelling artist, which has production experience in a variety of film and video projects, including: short films/videos, public service announcements, music videos, web-series, and additional media-related work. Mr. Ashley has creatively served in head positions in screenwriting, producing, editing, casting, marketing, and creative directing. Joey does not only want J.A.C.E Films & Media to succeed in motion pictures, but also display social issues through documentaries, commercials, photography, web content, music videos, and all media related content that can portray someone's story on screen.

- The primary advice I have for aspiring filmmakers is to make it happen with all the dedication you've got. Many individuals are so afraid to dedicate themselves to something because they feel you need all this stuff to succeed. Wrong! I came to Orlando not knowing anyone, no expensive equipment, and no budget. I am your average college student trying to make it like everyone else. I had an Idea, and developed that idea into an action plan. How? Through dedication and determination, with what I had, not with what I thought I needed. Dedication is not easy, but it is far from impossible. Each and everyday we open our eyes and make a choice to live. If we wanted to, we could keep our eyes shut closed. Life looks so much better with our eyes open, and we dedicate our time opening it for a full view. My advice is for people who want to make a film, web-series, or whatever it may be is to open your eyes with dedication, and make it happen.
