Austin Alexander is known for playing Luka Simovic in CBS’s FBI (2018), Stevie in Netflix's The Waterfront (2025), Yuri in CBS's S.W.A.T. (2017), Trapp in Antoine Fuqua's Emancipation (2022) (Apple TV+), Mookie in ABC's Will Trent (2023), Dennis Ray Bryant in PBS's Mercy Street (2016), Matt in FOX's series Welcome to Flatch (2022) and roles on AMC's Fear the Walking Dead (2015) & Turn: Washington's Spies (2014), Showtime's The Good Lord Bird (2020), and National Geographic's The Long Road Home (2017). He is an actor, writer, and musician.

Austin has made a lane out of portraying grounded, intelligent, and potentially dangerous men - criminals, cops, soldiers, and blue-collar characters usually with an unexpected sense of humor, vulnerability, or personality underneath. Or, as he likes to put it, rough and gritty guys with a hint of intelligence or enough personality to make up for the lack thereof.

Raised in Houston, Texas, Austin began acting onstage as a child. He spent his summers working on his father’s horse ranch in rural Oklahoma, an upbringing that moved between two very different worlds and gave him an instinctive understanding of people across cultures, classes, and circumstances. That perspective continues to shape the grounded, layered characters he brings to the screen.

Austin remained immersed in the arts throughout his teenage years, performing as a multi-instrumentalist in clubs across Texas before earning bachelor’s degrees in Theater and Creative Writing from St. Edward’s University in Austin. There, he studied acting, playwriting, directing, screenwriting, and production. After graduation, he completed a Meisner-based acting conservatory led by Richard Robichaux and began steadily booking roles in television and film.

He has since built an extensive body of work and earned a reputation for portraying compelling, complex, and deeply human characters. Austin has worked opposite an impressive range of acclaimed actors, including Will Smith, Ethan Hawke, Diego Luna, Jason Isaacs, Rhea Seehorn, Holt McCallany, Ramón Rodríguez, Zeeko Zaki, Missy Peregrym, Shantel VanSanten, Jay Harrington, Theo Rossi, Seann William Scott, Donna Murphy, Norbert Leo Butz, Adan Canto, Austin Amelio, and Andrea Bowen.
