In 2006, Rick embarked on an incredible journey that would push the realms of his own creative imagination when he gathered a small crew to produce the supernatural short film When Nature Calls,

From here he continued to produce short films and promotional videos for feature concepts he had been working on during a long period of ill health from 2012.

Rick's ultimate goal is to be recognized as a serious storyteller whether its as a writer, director or actor.

Only in 2011, did Rick become an accidental actor when he found himself let down by a cast member, being the only one who knew the script, he felt little choice but to take on the role of an off-world colony survivor, Alex Donovan in the short sci-if film Never Forget the Brave. Rick has seen a new passion in his work and enjoys getting stuck in at both sides of the camera and always insists that everyone is treated as an equal on any project.

Rick draws his passion and enthusiasm in his work on his life experiences stating that "when your own family threaten you, it gives you a different perspective on life" Rick began writing his own memoirs a few years ago, a work in progress as he calls it, titled Nothing Is Ever Forgotten.

Due to a medical situation in 2018, Rick closed down his then small production company, Celtic Storm Films, allowing time to recover, only to then form a new team of executives and so fire up the new company of Viking Storm Entertainment, now with offices in Manchester and Edinburgh and soon West Virginia.

Now, with a slate of projects ready to go into development, his team work tirelessly in the industry and Rick continues to work as a Director and Actor
