Biography

Russell Bowen is an Oscar Nominated VFX Supervisor with experience across Film and Episodic. Credits include Disney+'s Star Wars Original series The Acolyte and Paul Greengrass' The Lost Bus with Apple TV along with Production Supervisor on Warner Brothers' Lee Cronin's The Mummy.

Russell spent 14 years at DNEG, where he rose through the creative ranks from a Runner all the way to VFX Supervisor. At DNEG he supervised the work as lead VFX vendor on Shazam! Fury of the Gods and additionally served as VFX Supervisor on 'The New Mutants'. His career has a heavy focus on Creatures.

His filmography includes work as DFX Supervisor on Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Disney's Togo and as CG Supervisor on Alita: Battle Angel and Pacific Rim Uprising. Further titles include The Fate of the Furious, Star Trek Beyond and Ant-Man, to name just a few.

With significant Set experience, he's overseen everything from Main Units, Splinter Units and Aerial Plate shoots. He excels in close collaboration with Directors, Producers and Production Supervisors as well as HODs across the entire project base, to safeguard and execute the client's creative vision throughout every step of production.
