Biography

Emmanuel Anyiam Osigwe is known for Who's the Daddy?, The Banjo Boys (2025) and Eaton.

He was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2020 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to the Black and Minority Ethnic Film Industry. He was the Founder and Chairman of the British Urban Film Festival in Greater London N1, England.

Emmanuel was invited to join as a jury voter for the Creators of Colour Incubator, part of 'The Big Pitch' at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival. He has previously served as a full voting member of BAFTA, a jury member for the Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF, York) and a jury voter for the Triforce Monologue Slam (Luton).

He founded the British Urban Film Festival (BUFF) in 2005 having served his apprenticeship at Black Filmmaker Magazine (BFM) co-founded by the film director Menelik Shabazz. He also served as a production assistant for the Screen Nation Film and Television Awards, reporting to Charles Thompson MBE.
