Biography

Thomas Farnon is a British composer based in Guernsey whose recent work includes the score for the BBC's landmark natural history series Mammals, narrated by David Attenborough, and Netflix's flagship wildlife series Our Planet II, co-scored with Jasha Klebe. He also collaborated with Coldplay on the Mammals prequel, reimagining their global hit Paradise.

Known for melodic, vivid, and emotionally resonant music, his style bridges large-scale cinematic storytelling with intimate, expressive writing. Recent credits include Anthony D'Ambrosio's Triumph of the Heart, Uzo Oleh's Beth, Sky's Frost Vs, and THQ Nordic's award-winning video game Expeditions: Rome.

Over the past fifteen years, he has written music for productions such as The Legend of Tarzan, Hacksaw Ridge, The Crown, The Ridiculous 6, and Wonder Woman, and also co-produced the score for The Lego Batman Movie. Alongside his screen work, his catalogue of commercial releases includes the albums A, Reverie, Solace, and most recently Vignettes. His single Impromptu No.1 has been streamed more than eight million times worldwide.

Upcoming projects include Ben Cookson's Blurred and a new blue-chip nature series.

Drawing on both his classical background and contemporary influences, he continues to be a distinctive voice in modern composition.
