Biography

Pierre D'oncieu is an Italian writer, director and digital compositor. Raised in Rome he starts his career by working in a service for Italian broadcaster Mediaset while releasing his first short film Fine del mondo (2013). After a brief stint as an Assistant Producer and 1st AD he moves into VFX working on movies such as Blade Runner 2049 (2017), The Irishman (2019), The Terror (2018), and Dolittle (2020) continuing his career in that department as to date.

Found his cat, Mittens, in Petaling Jaya (Malaysia) while working on Once Upon A Time (2017) and brought her back with him to Rome.

Founded the VFX collective Watch The Black Cat in 2018 together with Liudmyla Chorna and Giovanni Zoppeddu.
