Navid Hejazi

Navid Hejazi is an award-winning film composer and violinist with a global footprint across feature films, television, documentaries, commercials, and video games. His music has supported productions from leading studios including Warner Bros., Twentieth Century Fox, Lionsgate, Bad Robot, Universal Content Productions, DreamWorks Animation Television, Asylum Entertainment, and providers like Paint The Noise ("The Last of Us", "Yellowstone"), Bunim Murray ("Below Deck," "The Challenge"), and Shindig ("Space Force"). These works have reached audiences via Fox, Syfy, HBO, NBC, Paramount Network, Bravo, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Arte TV, Movistar + and major festivals including Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Tribeca, Sundance, and Sitges, with several earning Oscars shortlist consideration. In video games, Navid's solo violin work stands out in top-selling titles from Capcom, Quantic Dream, Saber Interactive, and Lucasfilm Games, including Detroit: Become Human, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (performing the Resident Evil main menu theme), Fortnite, and orchestrations for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. He has also composed original music for Dragon Caffi, Fire Escape: An Interactive VR Series (by Grand Theft Auto creator Navid Khonsari), Skyweaver, and Hitori No Shita: The Outcast. Navid has created original music for top-tier American sample library companies 8Dio and Soundpaint, whose virtual instruments are widely used in Hollywood films and video games. A fourth-generation musician, Navid was born in Madrid, Spain, and grew up falling in love with movie scores such as "Back To The Future", "The Never Ending Story" and "Star Wars: A New Hope". He began violin at age five and was an advanced student, having the chance to perform Vivaldi concertos in front of big crowds when he was only eight. At the age of fifteen, he started composing and taking lessons on piano, harmony, counterpoint and later on composition skills and orchestration, graduating from Madrid Royal Conservatory with a degree in Violin Performance, before earning a double major in Film Scoring and Composition (cum laude) at Berklee College of Music on scholarship. During and after his studies, he participated in master classes with renowned Hollywood composers including John Williams, Alan Silvestri, Bruce Broughton, David Newman, William Ross, John Powell, Thomas Newman, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Dario Marianelli, and orchestrator Conrad Pope. He interned at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions, working for composer Henry Jackman and meeting prominent figures such as Heitor Pereira, Tom Holkenborg, Lorne Balfe, Ramin Djawadi and mixer Alan Meyerson, while recording at legendary venues like Eastwood Scoring Stage, Capitol Studios, EastWest Studios, The Village, and Sunset Sound. He has mixed with Adam Schmidt, Kami Asgar and Daniel Kresco at 424 Post and Remote Control Productions. Navid's film music is defined by its melodic, emotionally direct approach and stylistic versatility. He draws from the rich storytelling traditions of classic film composition while embracing modern sonic palettes, crafting scores for full orchestra, synth-driven textures, and rich hybrid sounds. His work blends timeless melodic writing and orchestral techniques with contemporary production tools and modern and fresh string writing (one of his signature strengths) creating atmospheric depth, tension, and introspection that serve the narrative. Whether evoking sweeping emotion or subtle unease, Navid moves fluidly across genres to deliver music that deeply connects with the story and audience. His solo albums (Meditations, Violin Totem, Outlaws and Sunsets, Intangible) explore ambient, relaxation, inspirational, and meditative moods. In these works, Navid pushes creative boundaries by experimenting with new elements, techniques, and sounds, venturing beyond conventional approaches to create deeply personal and innovative sonic experiences. As co-founder of American company Game Music Town, he continues to deliver original music, sound design, and voice-over for games and apps.
