Ex-Formula 1 racing driver who has raced for: Hispania (2011 (11 GPs)), Toro Rosso (2012 (20 GPs)-2013 (19 GPs)), Red Bull (2014 (19 GPs)-2015 (19 GPs)-2016 (21 GPs)-2017 (20 GPs)-2018 (21 GPs)), Renault (2019 (21 GPs)-2020 (17 GPs)), McLaren (2021 (22 GPs)-2022 (22 GPs)), Alpha Tauri (2023 (7 GPs)), Racing Bull (2024 (18 GPs)). He started 257 Grands Prix, 8 Wins, 3 Pole Positions, 17 Pole Positions, 17 Fastest Laps, 32 Podiums and 1329 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 3rd in 2014 and 2016.

Following his victory at the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix, he joins Giles Villeneuve, Thierry Boutsen, Jean Alesi, Lewis Hamilton and Robert Kubica as drivers who have won their first Formula One race at the Giles Villeneuve Circuit in Montreal.

His victory at the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix makes him the fourth Australian driver to win a Formula One race, behind Sir Jack Brabham, Alan Jones and the driver he replaced at Red Bull Racing, Mark Webber.

Became the 105th driver to win a round of the FIA Formula One World Championship when he won the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix.

The only thing I'm scared of is sharks and snakes. Fortunately I still am learning a lot. I'm growing as a driver. I think if I'd learned all I had to now, then I would be worried. But I'm getting better and better. Valentino Rossi [the seven-time motorbike champion] is a great example of why to keep trying to improve yourself. If he was content with being best in the world, then he wouldn't still be the best in the world.

I don't fear I'm going to be left behind. Sure, I look at people like Seb [Sebastian Vettel], and he had four world titles at this age. I was just in Red Bull that year too late. Some people have probably had it - not better - but had it slightly luckier, or had the timing. Still, it hasn't been a bad break. I've won a few races. Sure, I still believe I'll win a world title, I'd just rather do it sooner rather than later.
