Dallas Braden was born on August 13, 1983 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. He has been married to Meg Braden since November 15, 2014. They have one child.

On May 9, 2010, pitched a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Two weeks later, Roy Halladay pitched a perfect game against the Florida Marlins. It was the first time that two perfect games were thrown in the same month, and that multiple perfect games were thrown in the same season.

Pitched his perfect game on Mother's Day, with his grandmother, who had raised him after his mother's death, in attendance.
