Biography

Julian Cihi was born on March 13, 1987 in Tokyo, Japan. He is an actor and writer, known for Only Murders in the Building (2021), Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (2023) and The Tick (2016).

Resides in New York City but also spends time in Tokyo, Japan.

His mother is actress Aki Mizusawa and his father is businessman and voiceover actor Guy Cihi. They divorced in 1993.

Attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where he majored in theater arts and international relations. He also received a scholarship to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Grad Acting program, where he further honed his theater training, receiving an MFA.

Expressed a childhood dream of running a ramen noodle restaurant in Japan when he grew up.

Has appeared in several Broadway productions including Doctor Zhivago in 2015 and Take Me Out in 2022 and 2023.
