When Johnny Hates Jazz released the single 'Shattered Dreams' (1986),
it propelled the Anglo-American New Wave and Blue-eyed soul band into
the realm of super-stardom. The single reached the top five in the UK
and America, and the subsequent album - 'Turn Back the Clock' (1988) -
soared straight to the number 1 spot in the UK. The album spawned
another three hit singles before the band split. They have since (2009)
reformed.
