Biography

Grisha Pasternak is a Canadian filmmaker, producer, and mentor with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He has worked extensively in both theatre and film, establishing himself as a dedicated artist with a passion for fostering creative collaboration.

As an actor, Grisha has appeared in film and television projects such as The Man from Toronto (2022), The Pin (2013), Natasha (2015), Rookie Blue (2010), and Taken (2017). His work spans a variety of genres, from gripping drama to high-stakes thrillers, showcasing his versatility and commitment to storytelling.

In addition to acting, Grisha became the owner and producer of The King Black Box, a theatre collective based in Toronto. Under his leadership, TKBB has grown into a creative space for emerging and established artists, emphasizing bold storytelling and innovative stagecraft.

Grisha studied film at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he developed a foundation in directing and production. Since then, he has directed short films, music videos, and spec commercials, with feature films in development. His extensive on-camera and behind-the-scenes experience informs his mentorship at RAW Actor Studio, where he has trained actors in both performance and industry navigation.

Outside of his work in film and theatre, Grisha enjoys exploring a wide range of artistic and personal interests. He remains dedicated to pushing creative boundaries and supporting the next generation of performers and filmmakers.
