Joe Lycett was born on July 5, 1988 in Birmingham, England, UK. He is a writer and producer, known for Late Night Lycett (2023), Linda (2023) and Joe Lycett's Got Your Back (2019).

In February 2020 he legally changed his name by deed poll to Hugo Boss, in a protest against the German fashion company of the same name which had sent cease-and-desist letters to a number of small businesses and charities that use the word Boss in their name.

In 2026, Joe appeared on a celebrity edition of the UK game show Deal or No Deal (2023) and took away £11,560 for his chosen charity Tamworth Wellbeing Cancer Support Centre.
