  • Melanie is an AWGIE Award winning screenwriter for children's television. She has written for many popular series including Dive Olly Dive series I and II, Blinky Bill series III, Flipper & Lopaka, Tabaluga, Bambaloo series I and II, Art Alive series I, II and III and Zigby (Flying Bark Productions), CJ the DJ (Kapow Pictures), Milly Molly for (Beyond Productions), Play School (ABC Australia), Penelope K By The Way, (Blink Films/Freehand Pictures), Sally Bollywood (Trackdown/Three's A Company) Guess How Much I Love You - The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare and Teenage Fairy Tale Dropouts (SLR Productions).

    This experience spans live-action, puppetry and animated television series, as well as Xmedia platforms and character costume plays - for children ranging from early preschool to teens. She was Script Editor and Script Producer on Zigby, Penelope K By The Way, and recently Guess How Much I Love You - The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare.

    Melanie has wide experience in developing series for children's television, beginning at Flying Bark Productions in 2004. In 2010, she joined SLR Productions as Head of Development and Writing, which is her current position. She has contributed to the development of Zigby, Art Alive, Teenage Fairy Tale Dropouts Skinner Boys and Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs amongst many others.

    She had an earlier career as a teacher of children ages 4 to 12, which gives her great insight into the Target Audience of her shows.
