Biography

As a writer I abide by the three governing principles Aristotle established in, Poetics; Syd Field formulated in, Screenplay; and Joseph Conrad memorialized in, The Artist's Task: "...is to make you hear, to make you feel and, above all, to make you see. That is all, and it is everything."

As a journalist and filmmaker, my job is to reflect truth by gaining privileged access to significant stories of public interest and report them as honestly as I can so that viewers feel, hear and see them as clearly as I witness them. When I succeed, civil society is exercised. When I fail, the barbarians get closer to the gate.

As a producer, my task is to ensure that audiences see, hear and feel what the writer wrote, the director shot and the editor cut. If the film is good those people accomplished their tasks. If the film is bad I failed mine.
