John lives and works in Toronto. Over the past few years, he has
written and directed several short films with successful screenings at
film festivals. Most notably his film Youth & Tradition screened at the
2012 Montreal World Film Festival where he received the award for Best
New Canadian Student Director. His films focus on themes of time and
memory, which often investigate the quiet nuances of everyday life and
involve moments crafted toward magical realism.
