Biography

Daniel and his twin brother and creative partner, Lazaro, were born to and raised in Miami, Florida by Cuban immigrants. Since they were very young, they have had a love for storytelling. Their mother, a teacher, instilled in them an appreciation for literature, while their father, a blue-collar worker turned entrepreneur, bonded with them primarily with trips to the movies. Growing up, Danny and Laz delved into and practiced all sorts of storytelling and art: writing, music, drama and eventually film. As teenagers they honed in on Cinema, but kept theatre and literature close.

They finally found the opportunity to begin their formal studies at Florida's prestigious Full Sail University. Since then, they have been producing and directing independent films, with minimum budgets and maximum ingenuity. Slowly but surely, their audience (and their budgets!) have been growing.

With 'The Brothers Nunez', as their pseudonym, they love to take classical motifs and incorporate them into modern storytelling. They also love to showcase their home of Miami, utilizing it as a 'character' in itself, in much of their work.
