Biography

Born in Singapore and raised in Australia, Ellie Wang began her professional acting career in Singapore's theatre industry, where she was named ELLE magazine's Breakout Star of the Year and recognized as one of Singapore's 30 Under 30.

After establishing herself on stage in Singapore, Wang made her London debut in The King and I at Royal Albert Hall before relocating to the United States.

There, she was discovered through an open call for the Broadway production of Allegiance, where she performed the role of Kei Kimura and understudied Tony Award winner Lea Salonga.

Wang's audition process was featured in Episode 2, "All We Need Is the Girl," of the documentary series Trek to Broadway. She later returned to the role opposite George Takei in the Los Angeles premiere of Allegiance.

Since then, Wang has expanded her work across stage, film, and commercial campaigns. She is known for her recurring role as Caroline Lee on the CBS daytime drama Beyond the Gates.
