Biography

  • Nathan Robert Blackburn is an independent filmmaker, director, writer, and producer based in Northern California. A graduate of The New York Film Academy’s directing conservatory program, he has spent the past two decades developing narrative films, documentaries, commercial productions, and community-based film initiatives.

His directing work includes the feature film Ascot Alley, the television pilot Track Shack, and the shorts Nothing in the Dark and Tu le Monde. Influenced by American independent cinema, European cinema, and visually driven storytelling, his work often explores memory, identity, nostalgia, ambition, and the relationships between people and place.

In addition to his narrative projects, Nathan is the founder and creative director of Four Seasons of Film, a Bay Area production company specializing in narrative, documentary, commercial, and live-event filmmaking. He is also the founder of the East Bay Film Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting filmmakers and fostering film culture within the Bay Area creative community.

He continues to develop independent feature films, television projects, and documentary work spanning drama, comedy, horror, and historical fiction.
