Biography

Lesedi Siswana is a film and television producer. She has produced the short film, What Did You Dream that premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. Her television producing credits include the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) nominated My Kitchen Rules and the comedy series Thandiwe's Diary (2016) and Next of Next Week (2020). Lesedi's line producing credits include MTV Shuga 5 (2017 - SAFTA nominated) that is broadcast in over 170 platforms globally and international reality show formats, Big Brother, Clash of the Choirs (2014 - SAFTA Winner) and The Voice Angola which was the first African version of the popular singing competition TV show. Lesedi began her career as a junior crew member on the South Africa and Canada co-production Jozi-H, followed by the feature films Skin (2008) and District 9. As a production manager and content producer, Lesedi travelled to Mali, including Timbuktu and Nigeria to produce content for the docu-series Precious Africa. Other TV experience includes game shows and talk shows. Lesedi is a graduate of AFDA and Wits University.
