  • Eric L Waters is an American film and music video director, producer, and screen writer, known for specializing in creative content in the comedy, action, drama, science fiction, and sports-related genres. Eric has been captivated by the idea of film and its creative process since a very young age, with one of his most motivational films being that of "Superman", as he watched a man fly in what was a perceived reality, sparking a true passion for film, writing, and creative talent.

While still in his early youth, Eric launched his film production company, Waters Headquarters Productions. Under this company, he would begin his visual brilliance and unique creative ingenuity with hand drawn comic books and airbrushed apparel. Through his intermediate school years, Eric expressed and demonstrated several impressive talents that would offer him college scholarship opportunities in basketball, football, and art. Eric chose to pursue his unwavering talents in art and attended the University of the Arts Institute of Philadelphia.

In 2004 Eric was accepted and transferred to Columbia College Hollywood, in Southern California where began his pursuit as a film director and writer. His first short film was "One Second to Say I love You", a drama in which a man realizes how important his girlfriend was after she dies tragically. Throughout the time of attending Columbia College Hollywood, Eric executive produced a student film entitled "Nephilem" and worked in many different positions on more than a dozen other short films.

In 2005 Eric wrote and directed "Superman Unplugged", a twenty-thousand-dollar budgeted fan film. This film would be the biggest student project Columbia College Hollywood has seen thus far, using student crew up to as many as fifty. Filmed in twelve days with Panavision's "Super 16" film cameras, "Superman Unplugged" debuted in the month of June 2006. Eric received extensive praise and respect from his fellow students, Columbia College, and Panavision's Ric Helpern. On July 19, 2006 Eric showcased "Superman Unplugged" at the San Diego "ComicCon" convention, this was a renegade film with a themed battle between Superman and The Matrix, winning Fan Film of the Year, and catching the attention of his mentor Richard Donner (director of 1978 "Superman" the movie), Avi Arad (producer of Marvel Character films) and John Favreau (director of "Iron Man"). This was just the beginning of the innovation and creative film/writing talents that Eric would showcase.

While directing, producing, writing, and managing crews for many other projects, Eric proceeded to graduate in June 2007 in the top five percent of his class. Graduating Magnum Cum Laude and with the Laural Society Honors, he did not stop there. Weeks after graduating, Eric moved on to directing his next project entitled "Illadelph", the short version to the full length feature "Illadelphia", in which he was also the screen writer. Eric continued to grow, working with major music videos and television shows such as; 50 cent's "Candy Shop", B.E.T's "Sundays Best", "America's Got Talent", Fox's 'The Moment of Truth" and Sony's "Rules of Engagement".
