Gutsy, dynamic and energetic, Cindy D'Andrea is an award-winning solo performer who also brings her versatility in comedy and drama as an actor, writer and producer. She has been featured in TV, film, commercials, infomercials and print, including twice in Italian Vogue with esteemed fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh. Lindbergh also directed her in his short film, Inner Voices, which won a Best Documentary Award at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Cindy played the lead in the web series My Quarantine Life: Ep.12 Lockdown Love Life (Indie awards for Best Romantic Comedy & Best Humor, Scene award for Best of the Semester + 5 other noms), had supporting roles in Happenstance (Best Indie Feature, New York Film Awards) and Somniphobia (Best Indy, Best Horror Short +2 more wins, Big Sur Film Festival) and This and That (Best Shorts Competition, NYLA International Film Festival award). From screen to stage, Cindy was a prominent member of Tim Robbins' The Actor's Gang for six years. Her improvisational skills along with her bold choices in life and art earned her memorable roles in several of The Gang's productions.
Always looking for ways to reinvent herself, Cindy has found a unique way to merge her love for cats, passion for performing and volunteer work in animal rescue into compelling stage productions. Since 2016, Cindy has written, produced and starred in three solo shows, CAT-A-HOLICS, It's Easier To Love A Cat and most recently, Cat Sh!t Crazy which played to sold out crowds at the Whitefire Solofest and Santa Monica Playhouse Binge Fringe Festival and won a Best of 2019 Audience Choice Award, as well as an Audience Sweet Award from Better Lemons.
In August 2023, one of Cindy's dreams came true when she performed Cat Sh!t Crazy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest theater festival in the world. From the moment she stepped on Scottish ground, Cindy was featured in the Edinburgh News and The Guardian for the censoring of her posters. Cat Sh!t Crazy enjoyed an incredible run, touching the lives of animal lovers, those who have loved and lost, and lovers of life. The audiences and reviewers loved the show and you can see their responses on the EdFringe.com website.
Cindy is a certified personal trainer, strength and conditioning specialist, yoga and aquatic instructor for well over 20 years. Her impeccable attention to detail has garnered respect and admiration from her clients and peers, particularly those who have overcome physical and emotional challenges. She is in the process of writing a fitness memoir based on her work in the health and fitness industry.
In her spare time, Cindy works with feral and community cats in the Los Angeles area, frequently offering her experience and knowledge in domesticating and integrating adoptive and foster cats into the home.
