Biography

Christian DeMarais is best known for his roles in Maniac (Netflix), The Equalizer (CBS), Mr. Robot (USA), FBI: Most Wanted (CBS), Elsbeth (CBS) and Elementary (CBS). He holds an MFA in Acting from the prestigious NYU Graduate Acting Program at Tisch.

Born in Wichita Falls, TX to Robert (a Nutritionist) and Deborah (a Pediatrician), DeMarais has one sister (Adrienne), with whom he was raised in Shoreview, MN.

Initially trained as a dancer (with a specialty in Rhythm Tap), DeMarais toured the United States with the Keane Sense of Rhythm Tap Ensemble and performed in Poland, Peru and at the Beijing International Arts Festival.

After graduating with a BA in Business Management and Honors Theatre from Gustavus Adolphus College, DeMarais received his MFA from NYU Graduate Acting.

DeMarais has worked Off-Broadway at the world-renowned Public Theater, New York Theater Workshop and the Obie-Award winning Red Bull Theater. Other performance and workshop/development credits include Manhattan Theatre Club, Roundabout Theatre Company, The Guthrie, Huntington Theatre Company, McCarter Theatre Center, Williamstown, Chautauqua Theatre Company, The Ordway, The Drama League, The Mint and The Lark, among many others.
