Jack Paar (first host for the Tonight Show) His theater of the mind programs "Waltz Palace" and "Home Town Band" aired from 1934 to 1950. Wayne also was host for the spiritual, African American, Capella group "Wings over Jordan" which earned a Peabody award in 1941. He continued on air for many years.
