- Dan Asenlund was born in Sweden but moved to the United States to pursue degrees in Journalism and Japanese at the University of Oregon. Back in Sweden he founded his own production company before moving to Japan and Korea, where he worked in film and TV for six years. His short Four Degrees of Jonas Rydell was an official selection at BiFan and Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival. He is now back in Sweden, where his mid-length 1920s-themed thriller Cassandra Insköld's Last Word (2024) has won multiple awards and screened at festivals worldwide. Dan is currently in post-production on a Berlin omnibus of shorts and developing a feature film set in Japan.
