Carl is a British-Ghanaian writer and director, with a passion for storytelling. In October 2022 he was selected as a member of the inaugural BAFTA Connect filmmaking network. His aim is to tell long-form narratives with personal yet universal themes, sharing emotive, character-driven, socially conscious stories with compelling high concepts, highlighting, in particular, underrepresented voices. His short films Arachnid (2020) and Hackney Downs (2022) had successful runs on the international festival circuit including BAFTA-qualifying festivals.
