- Justin Michael Canel is a writer/director born in Burbank, California to an Argentinian father and American mother. He first became interested in film and TV as a little boy when he wanted to become an animator, having an incredible ability to draw. He attended Santa Clara University and played four years for the university's division 1 soccer program. Soon after, Justin ended his athletic career to focus on his writing, and began his career in the entertainment industry as a writer, director, and field producer at PBS. Today he resides with his kids in the suburbs of Los Angeles.

- Is a lifelong fanatic supporter for F.C. Barcelona (supporters for FCB are also known as culés), and has been to Camp Nou (FCB's stadium in Barcelona) to see games.
