  • -A 2008 graduate of the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal, Robin-Joël Cool quickly established himself in the cultural milieu as an actor, musician and scriptwriter. His stage credits include Mike and Jim in "Les écossaises" (mes de Dany Michaud). He twice won the Cochon Vedette acting award at the Gala des Cochons D'Or for his role in the play "Gunshot de Lulla West" (Pars pas) (directed by Eugénie Beaudry) and for his role in the play (e) (directed by Dany Boudreault). He was also in the cast of "Dehors" (directed by Philippe Ducros), "Tristesse animal noir" (directed by Claude Poissant), "Scratch" (directed by Sébastien David), and "D'Artagnan et les trois mousquetaires" (directed by Frédéric Bélanger). Most recently, he was part of the cast of "Les Plouffe" directed by Maryse Lapierre, a show for which he also composed the music. His TV credits include "Belle-Baie", "19-2", "Les Bobos" and "District 31". On the big screen, he starred in Rafaël Ouellet's "Camion", and co-composed and performed on the film's soundtrack, for which he was awarded the Prix Jutra for best original film score. Also for Rafaël Ouellet, he co-wrote the original music for the film "Gurov and Anna", and the film "Arsenault et fils", in which Robin-Joël also plays a role. Robin-Joël has also been singer, composer and performer with the English folk group "Mentana" since 2008.
