Madeleine McCann was born on May 12, 2003 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England, UK.

She was 3 years old when she disappeared from her parent's apartment on the evening of May 3, 2007 in the seaside resort of Praia da Luz in south-west Portugal. Madeleine was asleep in the room, while her parents dined nearby. On checking on her at approximately 10 pm, they discovered she was missing. Madeleine is described as a happy go lucky child with long blonde/sandy hair and green/hazel eyes. Her right eye is distinctive as the pupil runs into the blue-green iris.

Her parents are Kate McCann and Gerry McCann.
