Shalane Connors(I)

Shalane grew up on a parrot farm in regional Northern Rivers NSW. Raised alongside hundreds of birds, horses, donkeys, rottweilers, snakes, & siblings. After relocating to Sydney and graduating from a Bachelor of Performing Arts, Shalane then fell unexpectedly into the music world after winning a songwriting competition at Tamworth Country Music Festival along with her sister. They quickly formed a folk duo called 'Siskin River' for which she wrote & toured original music for the next five years, as a singer and guitarist. The band released two EP's and an Album, and played at major Australian music festivals including Falls Fest, Woodford, Queenscliff, Fairbridge, Festival of The Sun, and Bluesfest, to name a few. After the unexpected death of their father the band broke up, & Shalane moved to Sydney to re-ignite her acting and writing life. She is currently working on multiple screenplays and original music set for release in 2026.
