Biography

Thom Petty is a Manchester-born actor, writer and director. After first working as an anaesthetist in the NHS, he went on to train at LAMDA and has since worked across theatre, TV, film and radio/audio.

As a writer/director, he has received funding from the British Film Institute and his films have screened at festivals worldwide, including multiple BAFTA/BIFA/Oscar-qualifying programmes.

His 2023 short film Ticker was broadcast on Film4/All4 and received multiple awards on the film festival circuit.
