William DeJessa is a Cinematographer and co-founder of Rittenhouse Filmworks, a renowned film studio located in Philadelphia. With over a decade of experience in the industry, William has worked on a wide range of film projects, including feature films, television series, commercials, and music videos. He is known for his creative vision, technical expertise, and collaborative approach to filmmaking.
Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, William discovered his passion for storytelling at an early age and began creating short films with his childhood friends. He went on to study film and video production at Temple University and continued to hone his craft in the Philadelphia area.
William's approach to cinematography is focused on creating a deeply emotional and visually captivating experience for his audience. He combines technical skill with an intuitive understanding of the impact of each shot to create powerful visual storytelling. William's work as a cinematographer has received numerous accolades, including awards at various film festivals and was nominated for the "Best Debut Cinematographer" award at Camerimage in 2015.
Prior to founding Rittenhouse Filmworks in 2017, William worked in the broadcast lighting department at QVC, where he oversaw prime time broadcasts and studio installations. This experience was instrumental in his success and has been a contributing factor to the outstanding reputation of Rittenhouse Filmworks.
William is also committed to giving back to the community by offering hands-on learning experiences and internships to local rising talents through his film studio and industry connections. He is a mentor to many aspiring filmmakers and continues to be a positive influence in the industry.
