Biography

Chantal Lam was born in Thu Duc (Vietnam). She was four when she moved with her family in order to join her grand-parents, her aunties and uncles in France. She grew up with her sister and brothers in the Greater Paris area. Her father was Vietnamese, an artist of Chinese descent. He chose her middle name which means "Snow Horizon". Her mother, a very elegant woman is French, of French and Vietnamese descent. Chantal studied Human and Social Sciences at Marne-La-Vallée University (known as Gustave Eiffel University since 2020), majoring in History. She also took drama courses and was already keen on directing. She has a Master 2 degree in Management and CSR (2025).

She had her first experience on set when she was a child, playing in the background at the canteen of the young girls refectory scene in "The Lover" ( L'Amant by Jean-Jacques Annaud, 1992 ). She also had a few experience on stage where she discovered the passion for directing actors and creating magic atmosphere.
