Biography

David Lautman was born in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to acting in Film, TV and Theater, David has performed in over +250 commercials including campaign spokesperson roles for Smart & Final, Canon, CarGurus, and many more. His TV credits include a major recurring role as tabloid journalist Grant Smoltz on ABC's General Hospital and co-starring roles on FX's Dave, Amazon's Hunters, and Peacock's Angelyne. His recent feature film credits include Deer Camp '86, Shakey Ground, and The Comic Shop. David credits his father Ben Lautman for inspiring him to become an Actor. Ben is most known for appearing in the original Broadway production of HAIR from 1970-1974.

His father, Ben Lautman acted in the original Broadway production of HAIR (1970-1974).

He competed on both of Los Angeles Valley College's Swim and Water Polo Teams (2009-2010).

At the age of 14, he became a licensed PADI Open Water Diver.

After completing his Eagle service project for Malibu Creek State Park in Malibu, California; David achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
