Biography

Scott Eriksson

Mini bio

  • Scott earned a Business degree from the University of North Carolina and a Masters degree from Univeristy of Southern California and worked as a Human Resource Director for over 25 years before turning his writing skills to screenplays in 2009. His first short film was accepted into numerous film festivals and won multiple awards including a Best Actor Award for his Korean lead actor at the Boston International Film Festival in 2010 and gaining him an Asian fan base. His next five short films, all starring Asian actors in non-stereotypical roles, all won awards at film festivals solidifying his writing talent.

In 2010 he developed the media outlet, Asians On Film (AOF), to provide broader focus on the Asian-American film industry. By 2015 he had interviewed over 1000 Asian American's on the AOF YouTube Channel who were working in film and television and he became known for his knowledge of who's who in the industry. AOF was further expanded into an annual Asian short film festival based in Los Angeles that began in 2012, the only Asian short film festival outside of Asia.

In 2013 he turned his HR experience to the film industry by establishing a management company, Asian Cinema Entertainment (ACE), with a primary goal of developing new Asian talent in Hollywood. In 2016 he was accepted into the Talent Manager's Association, his years of hard work raising the profile of Asian talent being a primary factor.
