Russell is an Emmy Award-winning producer, best known for his work on Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Netflix's first live action interactive film. As VFX Producer on Black Mirror, he earned a BAFTA nomination for Season 3 and won a BAFTA for Season 4.
He began his career producing over 50 music videos for artists such as Belle & Sebastian, Paul McCartney, R.E.M., Muse, and Gorillaz, working with acclaimed directors including David Slade, Miguel Sapochnik, Dougal Wilson, Tim Hope and Pete Candeland. He then moved into commercials and produced multi-award winning campaigns for global brands such as Sony Bravia and Adidas, including the iconic Comparethemarket.com meerkat series.
His work spans live action, VFX, and animation, with credits including producing the stop-frame animation sequences in Martin Scorcese's Hugo and Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
