Mark Ruffin is a Daytime Emmy Award-winning artist, puppet builder, and costume designer whose work spans television, film, and Broadway. An alumnus of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Ruffin began building puppets at The Jim Henson Company and later earned a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design for his work on Sesame Street. His creative contributions have also received multiple additional Daytime Emmy nominations.
Ruffin’s costume and design work has appeared in numerous major productions, with pieces held in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Studio Museum in Harlem. He was also selected as a Designer of Choice by Seagram Americas in the City of Philadelphia.
