Biography

Every day after school while waiting for his mother to come home from work, 7-year-old Jonaral would sit and watch television, imagining himself playing numerous characters on the screen. Sitcoms like The Cosby Show, A Different World and movies like The Goonies, greatly influenced Jonaral's boyhood. As he grew older, this envisioning would only be a passing thought, but Jonaral never lost that childlike sense of wonder and imagination.

After entering high school and experiencing difficulties in his academic performance, Jonaral was assigned the task of attending a performance of Damn Yankees for extra credit. Once the play concluded, Jonaral's life was changed. Lightning had struck, the "acting bug" had bitten, and a trajectory was set in motion. Jonaral was going to be an actor.

A short while later, Jonaral worked up the nerve to audition for his school's next show, The Roaring Twenties, and was so excited to receive his first role. Since then, Jonaral has studied with numerous acting coaches from Orange County to Los Angeles. Most recently, he has studied with Marcus Folmar, the founder of The Booking Room.

Jonaral has worked alongside Jasmynne Shaye on her one woman play Stepping on a Few Toes, sparking a friendship that would also connect him with Charlene "Hustle Diva" Green, writer of the original poem Damaged Goods and the basis for the film. Jonaral has appeared in the television pilot The Republic, had featured roles in the films Thor and Minkow, as well as several other independent film and theater productions. Jonaral has also achieved SAG-AFTRA eligibility.
