Hans Christian Berger is a Vancouver-based writer, director, and story editor. Berger studied history, philosophy, and music in his native Austria at the University of Vienna and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Upon arriving in Canada in 2007, he changed course to pursue his long-standing passion for film. As a writer/director, his projects include dramatic and documentary films as well as multimedia installations. In September 2015, Berger's first feature film After Eden (2015) world premiered in the competitive New Directors section at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. As a story editor, he has worked on a wide range of factual projects for networks including Discovery Channel, History Channel, and National Geographic.
