Myriam Arougheti

Emmy winner Myriam Arougheti would certainly agree that dreams do come true! As a young girl, surrounded by teenage family members, she was exposed to many classic horror movies. That experience sparked her interest in the overall genre. As she got older, her passion for film and television and the way in which actors could be completely transformed, grew even stronger. Growing up in Vancouver and later Montreal, Myriam felt there would not be many opportunities for her if she followed her dreams, so she took a detour and pursued studies in International Relations with plans on working for the United Nations. After a few years of working in that field, she decided to give in to her creative side and go for it. She moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in the Joe Blasco Makeup School. The hustle was real. Myriam was 28 and jumped on every opportunity that came her way. No job was too small. She worked on student films, music videos and low budget indie movies. Two years in, she got lucky and landed a non-union film that turned union and allowed her to join Local 706. She was finally in the game. Shortly after joining the union, she earned her first Department Head job on the HBO show Hello Ladies. From there, she worked continuously on multiple shows with the same producers. After several consecutive Department Head credits, The Pitt offer arrived. Not only does Myriam consider the work on this show to be the most exciting and artistically fulfilling of her career thus far.... But it has also given her the honor of working with an incredible team of artists, actors and producers. And she gets to stay at home with her family in Los Angeles. In addition to The Pitt, Myriam’s recent work includes Lanterns, premiering on August 16, 2026, and The Sympathizer. She won her Emmy for Westworld S1 and has been nominated for both Season 1 and Season 2 for The Pitt.
